Who we are

This website is run by Coastal WK Ltd, trading as Wirral Watersports, registered in England and Wales (company number 17105113). We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact us at team@wirralwatersports.co.uk.

What we collect and why

• Newsletter sign-ups. If you join our opening-news list we collect your email address so we can tell you about opening, lessons, memberships and events. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us.
• Emails you send us. If you email us, we use your details to reply. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

Who processes it for us

• Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) stores our mailing list and sends our emails.
• Netlify hosts this website and keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and reliability.
• Open-Meteo supplies the live lake conditions shown in the header. Your browser requests the weather directly from Open-Meteo, which receives your IP address as part of that request. No personal information is sent by us.

We never sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies or use tracking or advertising tools. Fonts are hosted on our own site.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with them, and no longer than two years.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email team@wirralwatersports.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
